Carmen Brown was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica, West Indies. She became a born again Christian in June of 1976. It was in her bed early one Sunday morning at about 2am when she committed her life to Jesus Christ. She then began attending Mt. Olivet Gospel Church regularly and after five years of participation she became a member.
She has a passion for souls and has been involved in various ministries including, soul winning, follow-up, prayer intercessory coordinator, women's ministry chaplain, senior choir, and missions at home and abroad as far as West Africa, Liberia. She was also ordained and served as Deaconess.
Carmen is a firm believer that God has the final say in a person's life, and her responsibility is to love and serve all with compassion, whether they are bond or free. In the early 80's, while listening to a prison ministry broadcast of Chaplin Ray, she felt God calling her to support prison ministry and over the years she became more and more passionate for the lost behind prison walls.
She was in the right place at the right time when she met Rev. Lula upon her return from ministering at OBCC. She immediately requested to join ROTPM and has been a staunch supporter since approximately 2007. She participates in the services at OBCC and GMDC where she faithfully prays, encourages and gives hope to the Men she meets behind bars.
Carmen is married with six beautiful children, and two grandchildren and she has mothered many others as her own. She is also a wonderful Caregiver and a certified C.N.A; who has served in multiple hospitals, nursing homes and private homes.
